The Velox Carriers journey started in December 2011, when we acquired three line haul vehicles from Grindrod Logistics after their furniture division closed down. Our Team

The team behind the wheel

Meet Nico van Zyl, our dedicated director, who began his transport career in 1999. With over a decade of experience at the Grindrod group, Nico's journey led him from controller to branch manager in Cape Town. During this time, he obtained his Fleet Management and Transportation Management diplomas from the University of Johannesburg. In November 2011, Nico seized an opportunity when the furniture division of Grindrod closed down, and he founded Velox Carriers. Guided by his passion for transport and commitment to excellence, Nico leads our team towards success.
